and in consultation with Paragon Teaching school, we are running the

following programme. 

 

 Building Resilience

Delegates will be more aware of the principles of resilience,

giving consideration to protective and risk factors; enabling

them to better support and develop resilience and self-esteem

in the young people, they work with and reduce the likelihood of

long-term mental health issues. This is an ideal session for those

already accessing or looking to access our building resilience

programme.

E-Safety session aimed at all primary school teachers

 

Aim: The session will cover many of the challenges of e-safety in the primary classroom and will look at ways of supporting and informing pupils and parents on a variety of e-safety issues.

Key Objectives - all colleagues will leave knowing 

  •  How to help children stay safe in an increasingly digital world, developing ways of engaging with the internet and social media in a safe way
  • How to work with parents in promoting e-safety at home 
  • How best to use filtering and monitoring to promote a safe digital environment 
  • What are the latest requirements and expectations of Ofsted and the DfE for e-safety and how can we evidence what we do? 
  • What to do and not to do using social media as a child and an adult 
  • How to stay up to date with ever-changing technologies and children’s habits online 
  • Where to find resources to teach e-safety in an engaging and effective way

‘Planning a History Curriculum to ensure Continuity and Progression EYFS – Year 6’

 

Aim:

This day will focus on the key issue of improving pupil outcomes in History through building a rigorous curriculum with both continuity and progression. The programme will be practical and interactive. During the day colleagues will review and then take away a number of fully documented and resourced enquiries written to the National Curriculum. These can be trialled with pupils and also used as models of good practice in their leadership of History in school.

 

 

Key Objectives: all colleagues will leave:

  • Knowing what it means for pupils to make progress in History EYFS-Year 6; 
  • Understanding how to design enquiries which focus on achieving steadily more challenging subject outcomes; 
  • Having trialled and evaluated a number of historical enquiries EYFS – Year 6 which exemplify progression; 
  • Confident to lead colleagues in improving provision and outcomes in History in their schools.
